Probably not - but he's cutting more that I would have thought and that can be a good thing. Republicans want more cuts of course, but notice how the things they want to cut actually hurt the people who usually vote for their party. What about cutting some foreign aid to Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia for starters? And they are always loathe to cut anything in the defence budget - if they do it usually hurts the troops on the ground like no body armor. Meanwhile there are usually billions of dollars in a defence black hole for projects that may never see the light of day.
Regardless, more has to be done - enough of this whining about how your tax dollars are being wasted. Face it, you will always have to pay taxes for things you don't like - this ain't ala carte government here. Cutting spending alone won't solve our problems. Raising taxes for the rich won't solve our problems either. While that seems like common sense to most of us, it's funny how the two parties we have to choose from don't seem to care what we think. They think they know better...
...oh and has any of the 100 Senators or the 400+ Congressmen volunteered to not take a paycheck this term? Seriously, I'm asking.
