Obama and the Bush Tax Cuts: What Just Happened?
I'm not sure if any of this 
is going to help us in the long run. But it seems to me that none of the policy makers in Washington had the American people at the top of their thoughts. Right or Left, it looks like it's more about moral victories among the squabbling politicians than real change.
Obama referred to all this as a 'game' and he is right. The political spectrum has become so entrenched that it is almost a religious dogma. Most of us Americans are not so extreme in our views - hell even me, a self-proclaimed angry militant leftist, can find myself on the conservative side of an political issue sometimes.
So have we avoided a double-dip recession? In my opinion it has something to do with the fat cats that just got a continuation of their tax break.
The recession came on under the Bush tax cuts, so how does continuing these tax cuts help us? If they keep the money in their pockets, like they have been doing this whole time, it does not help the economy.
