When I buy a greyhound calendar, I like to know that the proceeds are going to something I believe in — ending greyhound racing. That is why I bought the Grey2K USA calendar . Not only are the photos beautiful but it’s like a monthly reference of milestones of what is happening in the greyhound racing advocacy world. For instance, who knew that on June 15, 2006, Gov. Jeb Bush (Florida) vetoed $310,000 in proposed dog track subsidies? (Unlike Gov. Fife Symington (Ariz.) who gave away the store to the dog tracks in mid 1990s.) And what about this? In July 17, 2004, New ... Read Full Story

Despicable! Cruel! Horrendous! Do you think greyhound racing is family entertainment? Think again. Do you think the race dogs are well cared for and treated like 4-legged kings and queens? Some of you may remember that almost a year ago, the good citizens of South Tucson voted to enact the Tucson Dog Protection Act. It’s been a year and in this most recent article in the Tucson Weekly , the Tucson dog track is not playing by the rules or the will of the voters. Does that surprise you? It doesn’t surprise me. Read the article, as usual the culprits rebel in arrogance and lack of accountability. Tags: Greyhound Racing - TUCSON (TGP) , Greyhounds ETC. // Read Full Story

Read the 2008 injury & euthanasia report for greyhound racing in Arizona. Read previous statistics on Greyhound Racing Sucks . Tags: Arizona - Show Me the Money , Good News // Read Full Story

The Phillipines would be another international greyhound racing holocaust. Read this article where a politico is saying there’s nothing cruel about greyhound racing. In another article , a politico is saying that when the racing career of dogs is over the dogs can be watch dogs or police dogs. Clueless about greyhounds. Their minds are not made up yet but they think this will boost tourism. All it will do is boost bloodshed and animal cruelty. Greyhound Crusaders/SWAP team UK are EXTREMELY concerned about the Phillipines introducing greyhound racing to their country. We have already done several international appeals on this and we are ... It seems not a day goes by that somewhere some racing greyhound or greyhound in training doesn’t suffer some horrible crime on this planet. Five people (thank you) sent me the link to this next article and I’m glad you’re reading and sharing and keeping up the good fight against greyhound racing. It seems there is some despicable sub-human in West Virginia who uses live bait to train dogs. Like greyhound racing, using live bait is inhumane but in West Virginia it’s also illegal to use rabbits, jack-rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, chickens, and piglets. It’s a felony, no less, but nobody is ever prosecuted. ... Read Full Story
