THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA-EPISODE 6-3 STARS

Remember in episode 5 when Kyon’s friend, Tamaguchi walked in and found Yuki in Kyon’s arms? Well, in this episode, Kyon has a lot of explaining to do, and he makes up the most stupid excuse, saying that Yuki was having a seizure at the moment when Tamaguchi walked into the room. I’m glad he wasn’t dumb enough to buy that excuse, but to be totally honest with you, its really none of his business what happened, so let’s move on now.

Back in the clubroom, Kyon decides to open up Mikuru’s file to leer at her pictures of course, and also to see if she really has a mole on one of her boobs. Low and behold, its there, but now Mikuru comes over, and sees this file with her name on it, and she wants to know what’s inside of it. “Good luck explaining that one away, Kyon.”

Now he’s sitting up there, duckin’, and dodgin’ Mikuru, I guess he doesn’t want her to know that deep down he’s really nothing but a pervert. All the sudden, Ms. Attitude Problem comes bustin’ in the room demanding to know what in the hell is going on. “Go ahead Kyon, tell Haruhi that you haven’t deleted Mikuru’s pictures yet, so that she can slap your ass to the floor, and I can laugh myself silly.”

Haruhi is all pissed off now, and she changes into her bunny costume because she’s too hot in her school uniform, but who really wants to see her in that outfit? “Sorry Haruhi, only pretty girls are allowed to wear that kind of an outfit, so you need to either give it to Mikuru, or burn it, ’cause you look like crap in it.”

That night, Kyon falls asleep, and ends up in a dream nightmare with Haruhi outside of their school, and no one else is around. Haruhi doesn’t know what’s going on, but Kyon knows they’re in a closed space (refer back to episode 5). They can’t get out of the school yard, so they split up and look around. Kyon runs into Itski who tells him that because of Haruhi’s boredom, she has given up on that world, and is about to create a new one.

In other words, everyone in the old world is about to go bye-bye, except for Kyon. In so many words, Itski says that Haruhi has the hots for Kyon, and she wants to take him into the next world with her. “I feel sorry for you Kyon, you’re gonna be stuck with that crazy witch for the rest of your life!” Itski passes on a message from Yuki who tells Kyon to turn on the computer, and the words “Sleeping Beauty” looms across the monitor.

Kyon doesn’t find out what it means, until near the end, when the ShinJins come out of nowhere, and start messing stuff up. Haruhi is having the time of her life now, but Kyon wants to go back to the old world. After realizing what “Sleeping Beauty” means, he tells Haruhi that he has a thing for girls with ponytails, and he kisses her. Then he wakes up from his nightmare.

This is crazy, since Itski and the gang knew this was gonna happen, they should have just come out and told Kyon. Hmmm, maybe not, ’cause he probably wouldn’t have wanted to kiss Haruhi, can you blame him? Next day at school, Haruhi and Kyon act like nothing happened, but Haruhi has her hair in a ponytail, coincidence?
