Born in Moscow, Anna Chakvetadze began playing tennis at the early age of eight. She reached her peak in 2007 when she competed in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and the French Open, and made it to the semifinals of the U.S. Open. So for the second time this week I have a prodigy on my plate. Anna Chakvetadze once held the number five position of the world but has fallen to 111. Though many of us are waiting for a prodigal return of Anna to the top 10,  I don’t see it happen for now.  She is only 23 so keep in mind that she could bounce back at any point but I am not holding my breath. Recently Russian netizens took part in a poll for the sexiest woman in Russian politics. Unexpectedly the honour went to former tennis player Anna Chakvetadze.
