Near the end of the fourth season of "Fringe," Seth Gabel's Lincoln Lee made his choice to remain on the other Earth alongside the alternate Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) and her Fringe team before the Bridge linking the two universes was closed, possibly forever.

It's still much too early to have any season-five footage to show off, so instead Fox decided to celebrate the show's history with a new promo for the final season. Over the course of 60 seconds, the promo traces the long, strange journey Olivia Dunham, Peter Bishop, and the rest have been on over the past four seasons, from mad science to parallel realities.  

As per annual tradition, Fringe fans have spent these early spring months wondering whether the show will get another season, with each notification of a Fringe-related news story that is not an official confirmation of renewal or cancellation causing them to shoot the messenger with spluttering rage, before gradually realizing that the messenger is just doing their job, then offering to buy them a beer as recompense...  

The fate of Fringe has finally been decided. Fox Broadcasting and chief Kevin Reilly are letting the J.J. Abrams series reach the all-important 100 episode plateau. Fox has renewed Fringe starring Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv for a fifth and final season ...
