I guess the Burghley Horse Trials are the United Kingdom’s equestrian equivalent to the X-Games meets Jackass. Wow. These photos are unreal. I’m sure there’s a very sophisticated explanation as to what’s happening in these photos but damn if it doesn’t look like they’re just jumping over shit to intentionally crash these horses. Ouch. I'm guessing it's safe to say that some horses were hurt during the this event. That sucks.

What kind of stupid reporting is this? What happened to the rider and the horse.
No reports on how the riders/horses fared? The riders are risking themselves and apparently torturing these poor animals. Where's PETA
I have looked at every one of the photos at this Jumping Event. I would NEVER subject my horse to this outrageous danger!! I want to know, how many horses and riders were injured? Is it really worth it? I love my horse much more than any trophy or prize money.
Why would you think someone would intentionally make their horse fall? Educate yourself about the sport of eventing before you go posting ignorance online.
