After the Super Bowl I sat down and watched the World Series of Poker Europe on ESPN. There was definitely a different feel to this particular series in comparison to how it is run in the US. Not that it made any difference. The game is still the same and surprisingly all of the players were there from all over the globe as usual. I am still running good these days. I backed off for a few days to regroup after taking some bad beats. I am still patting myself on the back for that one. My first instinct was to try and play through it. That would have been the wrong move. By backing off for a while it allowed me to clear my mind and take a close look at any possible problems I may have had in my play.
