So here is Jónsi, lead singer from the all amazing Sigur Rós, solo debut(if I’m not mistaken). The clip below is a promo for the album. It is a live performance of “New Piano Song,” one of the songs off the album. As you’ll see, Jónsi requested that all guest attending come dressed in say… animal costumes… and this is what it looks like. Can’t believe I’m just now coming across this. Doode, I may be the biggest fan Sigur Rós has in Atlanta, for real. I’ll challenge anyone that thinks there a bigger fan than I am. Come on! Are you not entertained!!! Alright, Alright but this is something special we got here. This is “Go Live,” the debut solo album from Sigur Ros front man, Jónsi. And it is …….. AMAZING! Of course everyone has their own little cup of tea; however my friend, I guarantee that you will at least appreciate the work because you can feel it….
You…..can….feel… it….
I don’t how to put anymore emphasis on it. But for me, and I hope for you as well, feeling is important. I love music as much as the next human being. I fux with dub, the rap, indie, some pop but I really gravate to something I can feel, cause I listen with my heart (cheesy? sue me then!). Or sometime the music can seep through and touch your soul, like that “move you” kinda music. And this is that move you music, put you in a zone, heal you music. The album is great, Jónsi brings that same element that you feel with Sigur Ros, yet a different twist. Its like being 6 years old and running up a tree house during autumn…in the evening…..with the leaves falling….. yeah like that lol! But you catch my drift. I havn’t order my copy yet from the site, but the art work is immaculate. It totally matches because it is just as innovative as the sound. See for your self and I posted up the album so you can hear exactly where Im coming from and hopefully find your way to your own tree house of sorts. // explore + enjoy
