Tampa Bay tight end Kellen Winslow's absence from offseason team activities was more than suspicious. On Monday, he shed light on the matter, telling Sirius XM NFL Radio that the coaching staff has informed him the team is going in another direction.  

I remember interviewing then-UCLA defensive lineman Brian Price before the 2010 NFL draft, where he was taken in the second round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I remember thinking that this kid from the mean streets of Los Angeles had everything it took to succeed in the NFL -- talent, work ethic and great intangibles. What Price hasn't had through his NFL career is good luck of any kind. He's suffered many different injuries in the last...  

The Buccaneers are still hoping that injured DE Da’Quan Bowers will be able to play during the 2012 season. Bowers underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon on May 11, and the Bucs will monitor his rehab before making a determination about his status around the start of training camp. It will be no surprise if he misses the entire season, though.  

Buccaneers DE Da’Quan Bowers suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the team’s offseason workouts and will likely miss the entire 2012 season. The team reported that Bowers will undergo surgery for the injury on Friday.
