If you don't like Anthony Bourdain , then, well...damn. What's wrong with you? No Reservations has been in off season now for about a month and a half, which is quite the happiness-killer when paired with the start of an academic term, but now (yes as in this week) that I am in the ******* middle of midterm examinations, papers, and presentations--my true love decides to return to me, though this time my prancing little black-lunged cavalier has traded his never-should-be-worn-in-public cutoff jean shorts for what looks like.... wtf ? Is that a suit? Anthony Bourdain : Travel Chanel's newest talk show host. Oh ... Read Full Story

I decided to cook a turkey on Labor Day, which my daughter quizzically says, it isn't Thanksgiving. I promptly tell her that turkey can be eaten any day, any month and any time one needs lots of leftovers for the week. This being only the second week of school and the lunch lines being extremely long for the hot lunch, my daughter is forced to bring her lunch or not eat. So turkey sandwiches sounded good and easy for her lunches, hence roasting a turkey on Labor Day. Therefore, a marathon of No Reservations were in order, since there wasn't much of anything. It ... So the groovy news is that Kent Rathbun is joining up with Anthony Bourdain to do a doozie of a dinner at Jasper’s on Thursday, November 20. The less-than-groovy news is that the dynamic duo will be doing their thang at The Woodlands location. Big Daddy, hear our plea: we’d be happy to make reservations to a similar dinner here in Big D. Wassup? However, if you’re up for a trip down I-45, jump for details. If you want to sit in my cube and protest until Rathbun and Bourdain come to Dallas, come on over. Paciugo just set a cart up in the ... Read Full Story

This holiday episode of No Reservations from 2007 is one of the show's few glimpses of Anthony Bourdain actually cooking in a kitchen. The key to moist turkey, according to Bourdain, is removing its legs ("dismembering a turkey is much like dismembering a human, actually...") and cooking them in a separate roasting pan from the breast. For health reasons, he also supports cooking the stuffing outside of the bird ("you got bacterias going at it...

Not bound by the need to say nice things all the time, Anthony Bourdain is the Jeremy Clarkson of television travel shows. He has his targets of abuse (Rachel Ray) and a salty tongue. His show No Reservations benefits greatly from the presumed honesty and its humorously compassionate approach - whether drinking Shiner with the Nug or downing special milk in the Kalahari desert. Like Bourdain, TurboRefrigerator doesn't believe a possum next in...

Anthony Bourdain: Reluctant bad boy of the celebrity chef world? Certain words and phrases issue from Anthony Bourdain’s lips with the urgency and bracing musicality of a Ramones riff: “A thing of beauty.” “A religious experience.” “Intoxicating.” “Transcendent.” Of course, he’s talking about food, not music, but it’s no surprise that the 53-year-old chef-turned-author is frequently compared...

"As soon as the head crowned," TV travel food journalist Anthony Bourdain said of his now two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Wednesday night, "the leather jacket went in the toilet." The former chef, self-described drug addict, badass chain-smoking drinker with a foul mouth and blunt insults has become more of a family man, he told the hundreds who turned out to see him speak at Denver's Buell Theater.
