After months of rumours it has been confirmed..... Vera Duckworth will re-appear on the cobbles!

Coronation Street will see Liz Dawn reprise her legendary role as Vera in Bill Tarmey's final episode.

Bill, who plays Jack Duckworth, will leave the soap next month after an incredible three decades on our screens.

Responding to the rumours that Vera will appear to Jack as a ghost, show producer Phil Collinson told the Daily Star:

"Vera doesn't come back as a ghost. She doesn't come floating in on a wire or anything like that. Her appearance is in context.
It was amazing to see Liz back and was perfect that one of the last images of Jack alive is the two of them together."

Aww, the Duckworths have played such a big part in Corrie, it's going to be emotional.
