1,000 Chinese Warriors
I feel like challenging 1,000 Chinese warriors to a kung fu battle. Fortunately for them, I am a man of great mercy, so I would take it easy on them. A line from the movie I wrote goes a little something like this: "My kung fu is invincible!"What has me in such a martial mindset?
Well, when I went to my standard study spot tonight, which is a coffee bar that is only 1/2 mile from my house, I had two pots of tea. This tea was an "Oolong" tea (I have no idea what that means), and it was called "Iron Goddess of Mercy." Doesn't that sound like a kung fu movie? And they were playing a strange mix of music from one of the employee's iPod that blends Asian sounds with 1970's pop, pre-pedophile Michael Jackson, African music, etc. I just love the wacky atmosphere in that place!
Anyway, the tea was okay. But it was a very light tea and since I like everything to be maximum--very heavy metal, excessive exercise, very clean, when I get sick I get very sick, intense romantic relationships, when I get drunk I am the drunkest guy in the bar, etc.--very light tea doesn't cut the mustard. So I asked the bartender barista (who looks a lot like uncle Jesse) to suggest some very heavy teas that they serve. Read my blog and know that I am a very balls-to-the-walls type of guy. He did suggest some teas that are way stronger. So I'm gonna start hitting those for study sessions, even though their names aren't as cool as what I had tonight. NOTE: Jesse and the Rippers shirt is available at BustedTees. As for the studying . . . We had a final yesterday (grades not yet posted), a lab final today (not posted), will have a regular test tomorrow (which is what I was studying for tonight), and then the very last thing to worry about is Monday's final. Then I will be done with 1st semester. Whether I pass or flunk out is still in the air. Though I have a pretty good feeling that I will be passing.
As for what I read tonight of of the dreaded "Fundamentals of Nursing" by Potter and Perry? Well it was all on patient safety. Did you know that patients should have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in their homes? That throw rugs are fall risks for patients with limited vision or impaired mobility? That good lighting outside the home at night and good locks help prevent crime? Etc.? Mind-blowing. I don't know why I even bother reading the common sense chapters.Tea up tea siders!
