iPad: Kindle killer
I’m sure everybody is hyped up and raving about the new iPad from Apple but what is it really? I’m all for Apple and their innovative products but the iPad? It is nothing more but a bigger version of the iPhone or let alone a big brother to the ipod Touch. Sure, it has a fast processor, better graphics and larger LED screen but did our expectations betray us? Bottom line, the new iPad is an oversized iPhone/ iTouch that has no camera. What’s it for you, you say? It’s to increase subscriptions for iTunes and to steal (Amazon) Kindle’s spotlight. Oh, you didn’t know? Amazon sold more ebooks than actual books this past year! hmm seems like Apple is pulling a “Microsoft” and taking over Amazon’s ebook market. If you were hoping for a mac tablet computer, your best bet right now is to check out Axiotron.com Modbook pro, they are the closest thing to my mac tablet expectations. Until then, I’m a bit disappointed… but we’ll see how this will play out.
