How I got my new iPod nano online for $43.65…not Ebay!
Listen up! Forget what you thought, heard, read, or didn’t read or whatever. I’m hear to tell you that it works…okay!
"What works?!", you may be asking. I'm
talking about those "freebie" sites that
promise you "free" gadgets like iPods,
$599 Apple Zunes,Wii & PS3 Video
Systems, etc., as you can see from the picture of me with my iPod
nano.
However, it's important for me to be upfront and say that nothing
is really free with those sites. Yes, in comparison to the retail
price, it may "virtually" be free BUT they are NOT really free.
In order to get my "free" iPod nano, I had to complete offers
a requirement for all freebie sites), get credited and become
"green". The term "green" is used by such sites because they
use a color-code for the status of a user and once that user
has completed their offer requirements then their status will
change to green. That's when money is being made for those
freebie sites...but that's another topic!
Now back to the issue at hand. Before deciding to do freebie
sites I had to become aware of some technical issues:
1) Getting an email specifically for freebie sites.
2) Getting a PayPal account (they give $$$ too).
3) Having a non-Proxy server.
4) Enabling cookies on my browser.
5) Temporaly turning off my anti virus & spyware
programs while completing an offer & turning them
back on after competing my offers.
6) Erasing my cookies files before logging to the freebie site.
7) Waiting 60 seconds after confirmation page is loaded.
8) Saving my confirmation page after completing an offer.
Finally, after completing all my offers and getting credited
for them I calculated how much, in total, it REALLY! cost me
to complete all those offers in order to get my iPod nano;
the price came out to exactly $43.65.
