Apple has made the new iPod shuffle player even smaller, with the tiny new
4GB iPod shuffle showing up at about half of the size of the previous model. Also, the new shuffle music player has a feature called VoiceOver, which enables the device talk to you, or speak your song titles, artists and playlist names. Watch the demo video below to see exactly how this works.
The most notable feature of this new diminutive iPod is the new VoiceOver feature that speaks the title and musician associated with the song currently playing and also speaks your playlists aloud to you for song navigation. The new iPod shuffle still comes with the clip for attaching to your clothes, measures 1.8 inches tall by 0.7 inch wide by 0.3 inch thick, weighs only 0.38 of an ounce, comes in both a silver aluminum finish and a black aluminum finish, and is priced at $79.
There is a slight problem with Apple's the third generation iPod shuffle though. The device itself has no controls because all of the functions are accessed through buttons on the headphone cord. That means until there is a work-around, you'll be stuck with using the earphones that ship with the iPod shuffle.
The new iPod shuffle comes in silver or black and features a sleek and ultra-wearable design with a built-in stainless steel clip. iPod shuffle is the smallest music player in the world and is incredibly easy to clip to almost anything and take with you everywhere you go. iPod shuffle features up to 10 hours of battery life.
