Detroit designer Luke Song sues copycat hatters

Detroit designer Luke Song, famous for fitting Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin's head with his Mr. Song Millinery hat for President Barack Obama's inauguration, is suing a handful of companies he says are selling knockoffs.

In a federal lawsuit filed Friday, Song and his company, Moza Inc., named DonnaVinci of Los Angeles, China-based King Ting Millinery Co. and S&S Hat Co. of Philadelphia as defendants.
Song seeks unspecified damages in excess of $100,000 and injunctions against the businesses named.
