Ari Emanuel

On May 2nd the Hollywood agency announced that techno-savvy Silver Lake was taking a 31% non-controlling minority interest in a deal set by WME toppers Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell. The investor, Emanuel, and Whitesell all decided to bestow the cash.  

Ari Emanuel -- the living inspiration for Jeremy Piven's "Entourage" character and the co-CEO of talent agency William Morris Endeavor -- left his office to take a meeting with "Fifty Shades" author E L James at SoHo House in Los Angeles.  

But Emanuel took the meeting at L.A.'s Soho House with manager-producer Stephen Levinson, representing Mark Wahlberg. They were among the Hollywood legions pursuing the literary sensation about an ingenue's graphic sexual adventures with a jaded billionaire.
