Carolina Panthers have picked up Armanti Edwards in the NFL 2010 Draft. Armanti Edwards play at the quarterback position but he will be in the Wildcat formation as Panthers have already selected Jimmy Clausen and Matt Moore. Carolina Panthers said that, Armanti’s selection will boost the overall performance of the team as he is a great athlete a good football player and brings intensity and fight in the game. It was rumored before that Panthers are interested in Armanti and they will try to pick him in any case.
The 22 years old player started his career playing for his high school Greenwood High School and was included in the Greenwood Touchdown Club team. His college career includes playing for Mountaineers in 2006, Appalachian State in 2007, and for Mountaineers in 2008 and 2009. He played for Mountaineers in Southern Conference Championship and played various matches and was named Biggest Upset of 2007 by a sports magazine Sports Illustrated. His passing average is 68% in the year 2009 and average rushing is 5%.
With the overall passing percentage of 65.1 and rushing percentage of 5.8, Edwards proved that he is a good player and he has worked hard to achieve this place. He was won several awards including Walter Payton Award, Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year, freshman of the Year 2008-09, etc.
Armanti Edwards has a great career ahead and it gives a feeling that he is going to be good player added by the General Manager of the Carolina Panthers.
