"Army Wives” returned for a fifth season, premiering Sunday, March 6 at 9 pm et/pt, with 13 all-new episodes. The show follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women — and one man — living with their spouses and families on an active Army post. The series films in Charleston, South Carolina, and stars Kim Delaney (Claudia Joy Holden), Sally Pressman (Roxy LeBlanc), Brigid Brannagh (Pamela Moran), Brian McNamara (Michael Holden), Sterling K. Brown (Roland Burton), Wendy Davis (Joan Burton), Drew Fuller (Trevor LeBlanc), Terry Serpico (Frank Sherwood) and Catherine Bell (Denise Sherwood). The series is based on the book “Army Wives” by Tanya Biank, who serves as a show consultant.

Mark Gordon (Executive Producer)

Mark Gordon has produced and financed more than 50 motion pictures and television programs with theatrical box-office revenues exceeding 3 billion dollars. Currently Gordon serves as executive producer on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" and CBS's "Criminal Minds." Gordon is also currently working on the recently released feature film "The Painted Veil," and the upcoming film "10,000 B.C."

As a producer, Gordon's film credits include "The Day After Tomorrow," "Casanova," "Hostage," "The Patriot," "Saving Private Ryan," "Broken Arrow" and "Speed." As an executive producer and financier, Gordon's credits include "The Matador," "Prime," "Tomb Raider," "Wonder Boys," "Man on the Moon," "A Simple Plan," "Primary Colors" and "The Jackal."

For television, Gordon served as executive producer on HBO's "Warm Springs," which received 16 Emmy nominations and won for outstanding made-for-television movie. He produced more than a dozen films for television, including HBO's "And Starring Poncho Villa as Himself," which garnered nine Emmy Award nominations. He directed "Nothing But Sun," a journey through the Holocaust as seen through the eyes of children, for which he also received an Emmy nomination. He served as producer on "The War Between the Classes," which won Gordon an Emmy for best children's program.

Among his numerous industry awards are a Golden Globe for best picture and a best-picture Oscar nomination for "Saving Private Ryan." The film also received the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles Film Critics Awards for best picture. Gordon has been honored with the Daryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award from the Producers Guild of America, and he received the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for best children's film for "Paulie: A Parrot's Tale."

Gordon serves on the boards of the Producers Guild of America, the Virginia Film Festival and Teach for America, Los Angeles.

His first producing effort was the off-Broadway production of "The Buddy System" at Circle in the Square. Gordon is a graduate of New York University's film school in New York City.

Deborah Spera (Executive Producer)
Deborah Spera is the president of television for the Mark Gordon Company and is executive producer of CBS's "Criminal Minds." Before joining the Mark Gordon Company, Spera spent eight years at Showtime, where she oversaw Emmy and Golden Globe Award–winning movies such as "The Baby Dance," "Wild Iris," "12 Angry Men," "Inherit the Wind," "On the Beach" and "Freak City," as well as executive-produced the movie "Fathers and Sons." She also helped bring "This American Life" to Showtime as a series premiering this spring. Prior to her tenure at Showtime, she was in features at Regency Films and worked on "Guilty by Suspicion," "JFK," "Free Willy," "Under Seige" and "Sommersby." She began her career at Eden Roc Films, where she worked on "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "From Dusk Till Dawn."

Jeff Melvoin (Executive Producer) Jeff Melvoin has worked in television as a writer-producer on numerous series, including "Alias," "Early Edition," "Picket Fences," "Northern Exposure," "Hill Street Blues" and "Remington Steele." Prior to his television work, Melvoin was a correspondent for Time magazine. He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he majored in American history and literature and wrote a thesis on American detective fiction. His career achievements include an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and a Television Critics Award.

Melvoin resides in Los Angeles with his wife, two sons and a wheaten terrier.
