Arsene Wenger has stressed the importance of making profit in his role as manager.The Gunners boss sold Cesc Fabergas and Samir Nasri, making a sum of about £60 million into the club.
Wenger had £35m at his disposal to spend in last month’s transfer window but resuse to add to his squad, even as his team are battling for the “TOP 4 FINISH”.
He revealed to the Belgian publication DH: “You should know that each season, it is imperative to show a profit of between £15 [million] and £20 million pounds.
“I would add that the purpose of a coach is to always buy at a price he sees fit.”
The gunners are currently in sixth position in the Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
