I'm feeling the need to redeem my sketchbook after my Journal Fodder Junkies entry. . .
Spring is springing! The chorus of birds outside of my window is growing louder; The sun is shining with a bit more warnth; Flowers are sprouting from the ground and the grass is getting a little greener. I am happy and I am reminded that everything has the opportunity to be renewed.
During the spring (especially at the beginning) there is a stirring within me; a drive; new motivation. . .

My beloved cat "Tipsy."
My husband and I like to joke a lot about how, should he die much earlier than I do, I would most certainly become an old cat-lady. You know? One of those women who live with like 90 cats and whose house reeks of urine?
I love my animals and I do have a softspot for kittens. My husband's fears are not completely unwarranted. Fortunately (for him) my current, beloved cat (Tipsy) is a cat in every possible way. Namely, she hates other cats! Loathes them!

Another week is coming to an end and I, once again, did not get as far as I wanted to on my Illustration Friday piece. Okay. I got nowhere. (Besides some random sketches. See previous posts.) But it wasn't all for nothing!
I've been finalizing my Spring marketing campaign; Printing brochures and creating mailing lists. Tedious, but somehow exciting. (You can expect a post very soon about the pain a designer endures whilst creating a marketing campaign for themselves.)
And then...Read Full Story
