Gumby Creator Art Clokey Dies at 88

2010-01-09T09:55:25 Gumby's creator Art Clokey died at 88 Friday. He passed away in his sleep at his home in Los Osos, Calif, according to the LA Times. His son said the 88-year-old suffered from repeat bladder infections. Art and his wife Ruth created Gumby in the '50s, after Art finished film school at USC. Art Clokey was the man behind the clay figure Gumby. He passed away in his sleep Friday at his home in Los Osos, Calif, according to the LA Times.
