Don't you know about Stark Museum Of At? Have you ever been there? Well, if you did not know about them and not visit yet let me tell you about this historical museum of art. Stark Museum of Art was founded by a mother and son H.J. Lutcher Stark and his mother, Miriam Lutcher Stark. His mom was the collectors of art, furniture, and decorative items from around the world. It looks like me loves to collect things and i love what i did just this Stark mother. This H.J. Lutcher Stark developed the same passion just like his mother the same interest and loves to collect. Their dream became true that one day their collections will be displayed in a Museum of Art in Orange, Texas and this dreams become real the museum is open for everybody who will experience the historical wild West.

H.J.Lutcher Stark started to purchase works from Texas artists, he begun to collect American Indian objects from New Mexico in the 1920's and 30's. He got married to Nelda Childers in 1943 and continued to build their collection. From all their travel started in 1944 to 1962 they built a collection that strongly represents the Taos Society of Artists, a colony of artists drawn to the area for its scenery and culture. This is really incredible happened to them and i believe this will cherish forever. From all the expansion in 1960's they collected the rare five-volume set of John James Audubon's Birds of America as well as letters and first edition copies of publications by Audubon and John Woodhouse Audubon, they collected porcelain birds and flowers by Dorothy Doughty and Edward M. Boehm as well as a series of Steuben Glass pieces, including the complete set of The United States in Crystal, and they added 230 works by Paul Kane, which was their last major purchase for the collection.

Because of the inspiration of their passion, this couple started a foundation which was called the Stark Foundation in 1961 to enrich the quality of life in Southeast Texas through education and the arts. After his death the foundation under his wife's direction built a Museum of Art that was opened on November 29, 1978. Until Today this Museum acquired new works of arts and open to all who will visit it. I would love to visit that place it feels like you are entering the historical museum that was built with passion and love of West arts. If you are not visiting this Stark Museum of art then its an excellent place to go this summer. Orange, Texas is a beautiful place and you can stay their as long as you want and visit this historic Museum of art.
