I have been long predicting that the Vikings would be awarded two compensatory draft picks in the 2011 Draft, and it turns out I was right.
I am a little disappointed, however, because I thought they would get a fifth rounder and a sixth rounder.
Instead, they were awarded a sixth rounder (#200) and seventh rounder (#235) in exchange for losing Chester Taylor and Artis Hicks to free agency last offseason.
Still, the addition of these picks give the Vikings nine total picks heading into April. Compensatory picks cannot be traded.
