Creative Outbreak
Why Does My Husband:
- Turn on the TV before he even takes his shoes off after work?
- Always want to bond with the kids for 30 minutes at the exact moment they are supposed to go to bed?
- Leave the empty milk jug on the counter instead of taking 3 steps to throw it away?
- Swear we have enough gas to get wherever even thought it's clearly on E?
- Hit snooze 3 times a day instead of just setting his alarm 20 minutes later?
- Pretend he can't hear the kids screaming?
There. That's out of the way. Onto my many creative endeavors. :)
So I made these fishies for Mimi. I found the idea on Danielleorama's blog and I totally swiped it. Mimi loves her fishies and carries them around non-stop. Every little while she stops to watch them "swim". She slept with her fishies on a table beside her bed. Mind you, there is no table beside her bed and I had to bring one in there just for the fishies. :)
I made the most incredible little mobile in the whole wide world (ok, perhaps a slight overstatement, but whatever). I could make them by the dozens. And since I don't sell anything but dolls on my site I can't even list the little bugger. I'm deciding which direction to take my new obsession with non-doll related items. I should just enjoy the creativity while it lasts I guess. Last year in the middle of March the doll sales picked up like crazy, and I know I won't have time for this sort of thing. Or so I keep telling myself. :)
The last little bird from the sculpey party was a big hit. I got so many emails regarding the giving away of said bird that I decided to put up another little guy for someone else to nab. I'm actually think of making it a regular thing here in blog-land to include a giveaway. Perhaps one a week. It has to be great PR for my shop - right. Oh, and never mind that it gives me an excuse to make these silly things. :)
So anyways todays offering is this wee birdy. He has no purpose whatsoever. And while he does look as if he's sitting on a tray that could be of some use, the birdy is only the size of my thumbnail and the tray might hold - like um - a brad or something.
