Ashlee Nicole Simpson (born October 3, 1984) is an American pop rock singer–songwriter and actress, and the younger sister of pop singer Jessica Simpson. She starred on "The Ashlee Simpson Show," an MTV reality show that followed her rise to stardom. Her first album "Pieces of Me" went platinum, but her credibility as a performer took a huge hit when it became apparent she was lip-synching on SNL.
