Ashley Baia

Rebecca Droke/Post-Gazette Ashley Baia, who has put more than 30,000 miles on her car campaigning for Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, was mentioned in his Tuesday speech on race. Ms. Baia is now working out of the Obama headquarters in East Liberty.


A quote from Ashley Baia's mother about Ashley getting mentioned by Barack Obama in his landmark "race" speech:
"All those nights I thought she didn't hear me cry, she did," Her mom says of Ashley. "But from all of this, look what has come out of it. I'm extremely proud of what she's doing."
