Yesterday, Sheen called in to “TMZ Live” to complain to Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere about his former show – and he really let loose.
“I’m tired of lying,” Sheen said. “I’m tired of pretending the show doesn’t suck. I’m tired of pretending Ashton [Kutcher] doesn’t suck. I’m tired of pretending that they’re not completely adrift. Because when you take away the anchor of your show, which they stupidly did, you go adrift. And these guys are approaching salvage vessel.”
Last fall, Sheen tried to take the high road, saying that Kutcher’s debut was “the best intro for a new a character on a TV show of all time.”
That was then. This is now.
Warner Bros. recently issued a cease-and-desist letter to Charlie Sheen, ordering him to stop using Warner-owned pictures of himself to promote his new FX series Anger Management.
Sheen told Levin that it’s nothing personal with regard to Kutcher – the problem is the writing.
“I feel bad for him. He’s saddled with such bad writing…There’s just nothing about it that’s fresh or interesting. I forget that it’s on the air.”
The Kutcher 2.0 version of the show debuted to its highest ratings ever on CBS (28.74 million viewers) and has seen higher ratings this season than during the last few seasons starring Sheen.
