Pakistan: President Asif Ali Zardari has withdrawn his pending petition in accountability case after it became ineffective in the Supreme Court. The Accountability Court had frozen some property of President Zardari in assets reference case 11-years ago. President appealed against the decision in the SC back in 1995 but the decision came on the petition meanwhile. President Zardari’s lawyer today submitted application to withdraw petition and the court approved it. ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: PPP-CEC Meets to Discuss CM Slot: GB Polls, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is holding its Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting here on Monday. Party’s joint chairperson, President Asif Ali Zardari will chair the meeting.
