Sussex, VA - NOVEMBER 25: Suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick (R) leaves Surry County Circuit Court after entering a guilty plea on two felony counts connected to dog fighting on November 25, 2008 in Sussex, Virginia. Under a plea agreement, Vick, who is currently serving a term in prison for federal dog fighting charges, will serve one-year of probation for the state charges. He is scheduled to be released on July of 2009. But it looks like Vick may not have a home to go back to.
The bidding for Vick's Atlanta home will start at $3.2 million.
The 22,000-square foot mansion the Falcons quarterback once called home is scheduled to be auctioned off on March 10, for a minimum of $3.2 million. According to the
Atlanta Journal the home, which is located in Atlanta's Sugarloaf Country Club, has eight-bedrooms, a formal dining room, a library and a home theatre.
Before you ask, no the listing did not mention dog kennels or anything else canine related. But will potential buyers be able to look past the stigma of the home's previous owner?
Realtor Patrick Finnick told the
Atlanta Journal he thinks so:
You never know who is in the market to buy the house and what their perception of the home may be. They may be able to see far beyond Michael Vick."
I doubt that, especially considering that all his furniture is still in the house. Still, I don't think the fact that it was Vick's home will sway anyone interested in placing a bid, unless of course they're PETA members or animal rights activists.
Money aside, would you buy Vick's former home? Take the poll here.More Photos:
