Why Do I Selfharm ?
My Story Of Why I Am A Cutter.

I have been a cutter on and off for a little more than 2 1/2 years. When I first started I did it because I thought it was cool and liked the look.I was happy when people said things to me about it because I got peoples pity.I know...ATTENTION WHORE...right?
My whole life I have never really felt like I fit in or that people really wanted to talk to me but when they saw the cuts they were interested.
Keep in mind I was 12 and desperate for some attention. At the time I started to cut I had only lived with my dad for about 4 months or so...I was already in my second school.I have been in 9 schools since 2003. 8 with in the past 3 years.I cut for 3 months until my dad (and everyone else) really knew about it.I stopped a couple weeks later. It has never been something I have really needed to do, to make it through the day.
At least it wasnt until a couple of months ago.I have always and still do like the look of the cuts and scars.I cant really remember when the next time I cut was.But I do remember that it was with a box knife blade...and before it was a sharp wire.
The cuts got deeper and the scars were bigger and more colorful. Before I knew it I stated cutting on the tops of my arms, hands and on my upper arm.It got a little out of hand.I did it a couple times a week or once a month.Depending on how fast it healed depended on how much I did it.
This is the story of a Self Harmer and I shall continue to update her experiences and feelings. I just want to thank her for her courage in posting it and also sign it off with her name. If you are a selfharmer and are reading this please don't be afraid to leave a comment in the box below.
