Audi is preparing to facelift the R8 supercar, but these spy pictures reveal the visual tweaks will be minor. The R8’s shape still looks fresh even after six years on sale, justifying Audi’s decision to limit the changes to the light clusters at the front and rear.  

The basis for the project was an Audi R8 V10. PPI Design then ripped the body off, replacing every body panel with 600 gram heavy weave carbon fiber. This allowed them to create the unique PPI Razor GTR body that fits so well to the Audi R8.

This year's official poster, a sought after collector's piece, was created by artist Doug Tocco, who has been designing since 1991 and has also created posters for the Detroit International Auto Show and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
