If Australian Gays Hold Ceremonies the World Will Come to an End, Says the current Rudd Government . . .

Well, not really, but you would think that's what they fear. Exactly what are they so afraid of?

A bunch of gays and lesbians in Victoria, Australia want to have equal treatment of their committed relationships, and the current Rudd government is saying it MIGHT be 'Okay' as long as these dangerous homosexuals don't cross the line and dare to hold (Heaven forbid!) ceremonies! (Please note my sarcasm, if you haven't caught on here).

Oh my, what horrible woes will befall Australian soicety if a bunch of queers hold ceremonies!

It reminds me of that absurd line in the John Waters film where Mink Stole shouts 'The children are having sex!'

Com'on Rudd government -- you replaced a Facist named John Howard -- what pleasure do you take in prohibiting the commitment ceremonies of your citizens.

Talk about mean-spirited. I mean, can these majority heteros put themselves in a minority's shoes for once and consider how they would feel if someone FORBID their wedding ceremonies?
