A community portal about Autism with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder that manifests in delays of "social interaction, language as used in social communication, or symbolic or imaginative play," with "onset prior to age 3 years," according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. The ICD-10 also requires symptoms to "manifest before the age of three years." Autism is often not physiologically obvious, in that outward appearance may not indicate a disorder, and diagnosis typically comes from a complete physical and neurological evaluation.

Editor’s Note: I was investigating the link between abortion and vaccination when I came into contact with Catholic author Mark Armstrong, who was also investigating the subject (an interview he conducted with Dr. Theresa Deisher on the topic can be heard by clicking here ). I believe Mark makes some important points here, and while we at VOR do not share Mr. Armstrong’s views on Catholicism, and we are not yet calling for an abortion-aided vaccine boycott, we believe the points he makes here are worthy of consideration for pro-life Catholics and non-Catholics alike. My hope is that this opens discussion on the topic ... Read Full Story

http://www.balancedhealthtoday.com/hyperbaric-chamber.html Autism Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers Autism Hbot http://www.balancedhealthtoday.com The center examined studies on hyperbaric oxygen therapy—a treatment in which patients inhale 100 percent oxygen while inside a special chamber that is pressurized to greater than 1 atmosphere (atm). Oxygen has weight and the air we breathe is made up of about 21% oxygen. One atm is the pressure caused by the air’s weight (the atmosphere) at sea level. If the oxygen content of the air rises, it weighs more and exerts more pressure. Most hyperbaric oxygen chambers have a pressure from 1 to 3 atm because the amount of oxygen in the chamber is ... I've just received the following from a mother who wishes to remain anonymous. I know first hand that her second son was diagnosed as severely autistic, and her eldest had ADHD behavioural problems. Both children have improved a great deal due to this mother's insistence on no further vaccines and on the use of alternative remedies. The goddam fucking lying bastards.... : " Thimerosal VSD study Phase 1 02/29/00 " (PDF format) This study proves they knew back then that thimerosal in vaccines (although they only tested infants up to 3 months who were exposed to thimerosal-containing vaccines) IS associated with autism, epilepsy, developmental ... NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - When one identical twin develops the developmental disorder autism, the risk of the other developing it is high -- substantially higher than it is for fraternal twins, a new study confirms. The study, which gathered information from 277 twin pairs in which at least one had an autistic disorder, found that when one identical twin developed an autistic disorder, the other one also did 88 percent of the time. That compared with 31 percent among fraternal twins. Unlike identical twins, fraternal twins are no more genetically similar than non-twin siblings. What's more, researchers found, identical twins also had greater ... Read Full Story
