autism resources has revealed that there are few organizations, if any, who have allocated any attention to futuristic aspects and the impact of millions of U.S. citizens with autism who will be living in virtually every U.S. community over the next several decades.
According to the Autism Society of America an estimated 4 million people with autism will be living in U.S. communities in just the next ten years. There is a yet to be estimated number of these individuals who are likely to require long term assistance and fascilitation of functional daily living, and community
autism resources. It would seem essential that professionals who work with people with autism, community planners, and other members of society begin to conceive of communities that would be supportive of the integral success of these individuals in culture and society.
