can vaccines cause autism???

can vaccines cause autism???

AV
Keep in mind that there are non-vaccinated children out there who happen to have autism.

My children are by all means vaccinated, b/c I wish to protect them from the serious complications that come with the illness that they prevent.

I really don’t think the vaccines would cause autism. Because if it was then every child would have it. But guess want no. I have two boys that got all their vaccines and they are fine. No autism or anything. They are healthy. They need to find annother cause that they get autism..

Without admitting anything, in 2005 vaccine manufacturers began to phase thimerosal out of injections given to American infants.

There is no definative answer to this question. However there are studies that have been done which definately raise this question. The vaccines also seem to only be an issue the first couple of years. My view is this, if you are not planning on sending your kid to a daycare the first year or 2, wait to get the vaccines until they are over 2 years old. Some doctors will look at you like you are crazy, but I for one would rather be safe than sorry.

I do find it quiet scary even more so because autism has effected my life. I vaccinated my son who is now 6 and has autism. My opinion is that vaccines are somewhat, but not fully responsible. I now have an 11 month old and I do get the most important vaccines, but I have them spaced out. It might be more trips to the doctors office, but I’d rather do that then for her little body to be overwhelmed. I will wait until 2 or 3 to get the MMR shot due to the speculation of it causing autism. I also ask for thimerosal free vaccines just to be safe.

Autism is a hard diagnostic mental disorder to prove, weather vaccines have been the root of most cases linked to a child having them. A child can be born with other serious mental state disorder’s such as schizophrenia and bi-pol-or disorders and dint actually develop till there allot older, so trying to link a disorder like autism to a vaccine would be wrong as there isn’t enough research been done to prove this and research that has been done is based on pharmaceuticals arguing which method is better for an infant, such as having a single vaccine more than having the triple vaccine, basically like any thing Else. Its all a political ploy with pharmaceutical companies.

The case that was recently settled regarding that little girl was a very rare and isolated incident, where she had an underlying metabolic disorder that ended up being triggered when she received vaccinations.

While the issue is being studied, there still is no concrete evidence that vaccinations are linked to autism. There is some concern about the vaccines that contain thimerosal, because it contains small amounts of mercury, but not all vaccines contain that preservative. You can ask your pediatrician about receiving vaccines that are thimerosal-free, if you are concerned about that. But even the connection to thimerosal is speculative at this point.

Talk to you pediatrician about your concerns, but the fact remains that vaccines save lives. Measles can be deadly, and mumps can cause sterility, deafness, and even death. Ask your grandparents how scary it was to raise children in an era when there were regular polio scares, leaving many children with lifelong handicaps.

there is no documented evidence that vaccinated children have a higher rate of autism then children who are not vaccined.

unfortunately, there is a lot of propaganda out there, which attempts to make a correlation. yet, there is nothing definitive. also, if this is the case, what about the kids who have NOT been vaccinated; yet are autistic?

if you are concerned about the number of vaccines, you can request that they be spread out and not given at the same visit. also, understand the many people equate the MMR vaccine to autism primarily because it’s given during the time when speech development begins. hence, many contribute it to the vaccine.

what IS concerning is the resurrgence of vaccine-preventable diseases (measles, rubella…)due to parents’ reticence to immunize.

also, the vaccine manufacturers phased out the perservatives to prevent parents from mass-opting out of vaccinations. it had NOTHING to do with a correlation with increased autism rates. it was clearly a political decision. for those who are so sure, they should really look at the life expectancy of children with polio, and rubella. this could re-occur if people continue to not vaccinate their children.
