LONDON (Reuters) - Jaguar Land Rover is expected to announce on Monday that it has secured a 170-million-pound ($282.5 million) working capital facility from GE Capital, the Financial Times newspaper said. US car company GM has said it will start paying back its US government loan earlier than expected.
The first payment of $1.2bn will be made in December. It could fully repay the money by 2011, four years ahead of schedule.
The news came as GM reported a third quarter net loss of $1.2bn.

The XKR is the most performance-oriented model in Jaguar’s current lineup, so it’s fitting that the storied English automaker upped the ante for 2010 by fitting a 510-hp, supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 in place of the old model’s 420-hp, 4.2-liter supercharged unit. (The base XK gets a 385-hp, 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V-8 instead of the previous car’s 300-hp, 4.2-liter V-8.)

Popular English racing driver Win Percy will reunite with Jaguar, the make that brought him renown at Le Mans and Bathurst, to tackle the Classic Adelaide international tarmac rally later this month.
