The 2011 edition of Sorento is extremely different from the original vehicle which was launched in 2002 and then upgraded in 2005. The new edition will enter production later this year and will be available for sale early next year. The company proposes to start production at a new factory in West Point, Georgia.

Whoa, there. Kia's the budget Korean automaker, right? Hyundai's cut-rate cousin? The same people who brought us the Amanti and the Spectra? Forgive us for expecting more of the same mediocrity out of the 2010 Kia Forte SX. But this surprising compact sedan had us at its 67.3-mph slalom performance — less than 1 mph behind the benchmark Mazda 3 s. South Korea's second-largest carmaker Kia Motors Friday announced a record quarterly net profit due to international incentives for new car buyers and a weaker won. Kia said in a statement it posted a net profit of 402 billion won (339 million dollars) in July-September, swinging from a net loss of 22.1 billion a year earlier.
