Installation of this baseplate requires removing the bumper. 1. Read the General Instruction Sheet included with this baseplate. 2. The baseplate mounts to the vehicle using the four bolts that mount the bumper to the frame and two bolts into the frame. All bolts are provided with the baseplate. 3. The bumper of the pickup will be removed during the installation. 1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection. 3. Loosen the hose clamps on the intake hose at the throttle body and mass air sensor. 4. Using a 10mm socket, loosen and remove the bolt that holds the vacuum switch to the airbox lid. 5. The drop link is fully rose-jointed and is a direct replacement for the original unit.
