Step 1:
Position truck on a flat surface and lift the front wheels off the ground using jack stands or a (2) two post lift if available. Remove the wheels and tires on both sides. Remove the two lower sway bar nuts on both sides of truck. (Insert A)
Remove the driver’s side cotter pin and loosen but Do Not Remove the upper ball joint nut. Use of a hammer to break the ball joint free may be needed. (Insert B)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then, loosen the hose clamp on the factory intake tube. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Mass Air Sensor and unclip the wiring from the air box lid.
2. Unclip the factory air box lid from the base and remove from engine compartment. Remove original flat panel filter.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the Mass Air Sensor from the air box lid. Retain sensor for later use.
