As she finished filming “The Fighter” last year, Amy Adams had dinner with the film’s producer Todd Lieberman.
He and his partner David Hoberman had another movie in the works and, he said, the lead female role was hers for the taking.
The movie was “The Muppets,” which revives the late Jim Henson’s puppet troupe for old fans and a new generation.
For Adams, it’s a return to the studio where she became a star as a Disney princess in the 2007 musical hit “Enchantment.”
