Manila, Philippines – Pointwest Technologies Corporation will be one of thousands of companies worldwide – and one of only two Philippine companies – attending CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, from March 6 to 10, 2012.

CeBIT is the largest trade fair exclusive to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry. It also serves as an influential platform for networking, from simply building relationships to talking business and closing deals. This year’s event will showcase ICT solutions in four distinct areas: (1) PRO for business operations, (2) LAB for research and development, (3) LIFE for the digital lifestyle, and (4) GOV for the public sector.

For the largest Filipino-owned company in the Philippines, however, CeBIT is more than just a place where manufacturers, service providers, distributors, and buyers meet. Being one of only two Philippine companies to make the list of exhibitors, Pointwest sees this event as another venue to establish the country as the next global hub for Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO).

At present the Philippines boasts a thriving IT and Business Process Outsourcing (IT-BPO) industry, second only to India. Prospects remain rosy and, based on an IT-BPO road map developed by Everest Group, Outsource2Philippines, and the Business Processing Association of the Philippines, the industry could reach $25 billion in revenue by 2016.
