After a baby great white shark was accidently hooked by a fisherman in Venice Beach, California, local surfers and bystanders helped to free the little guy and send him back out in the ocean. With the entire thing caught on tape, it was only a matter of time before the video went viral.
Baby great white shark rescued off of Venice Beach -- video included. (YouTube) Generally speaking, when beachgoers run across a great white shark, they run for shelter. But when the baby got hooked and dragged to shore, it took the combined efforts of those present to save the shark's life. Granted, it took the men a while to get the hook out of the shark's mouth, but we applaud their effort nonetheless.
If you are going to watch this video, we recommend you turn off the volume, as the entire thing is narrated by an understandably concerned but unintentionally annoying woman's voice. There's only so many times we can hear her ask if "anyone has a knife" before we want to hit mute.
