Bunny Baby Shower Theme

If you are planning a baby shower around Easter, or if the mom-to-be is a bunny lover, then this baby shower theme is a perfect fit. If this baby shower is not a surprise for the mom-to-be, involve her as much as possible during the planning process. However, if it is a surprise, talk to as many people as you can about what her likes, dislikes, and preferences are when it comes to Easter and bunnies.

Baby shower invitations:
  • Use an Easter themed invitation that can easily be adapted into a baby shower invitation. This may require some scrapbook supplies, or you could use a create and print design to customize.
  • Send e-greeting baby shower invitations to each guest outlining the bunny theme, and to easily keep track of your guest list.
  • Pick up some cardstock and make up your own baby shower invitations using scrapbook and card making materials. Use coloring pages as inspiration, or ask children who will be in attendance to help you create these invitations by coloring the pages in advance.

Baby shower decorations:

This is actually the easy part. If you’re shopping around Easter, you’re going to find that department stores, discount stores, and party stores are going to have everything you need for baby shower decorations in their Easter section. There will be bunnies galore! Choose items that are generic, meaning that they don’t have any Easter greetings on them or any other indication that they’re meant to be an Easter decoration.

Baby shower cake:

This is another easy one when it comes to shopping around Easter. If you choose not to bake the baby shower cake on your own, you’ll also find that bakeries and grocery stores will have many options already made to choose from. You can also request that a customized cake be made using your own specification.

Baby shower favors:

  • Fill Easter eggs with miniature chocolate bunnies, and add baby themed stickers to the outside.
  • Fill miniature baskets with bunny themed candies.
  • Pick up some plastic spoons, and wrap a miniature bunny to it using tool.
  • Find some baby themed ribbon (this can be found online or in craft stores), and wrap it around the necks of foil wrapped chocolate bunnies for each guest.

Baby shower games:

  • Print up a bingo game, and use small plastic bunnies as the game pieces.
  • If children are in attendance, play pin the tail on the bunny!
  • Give each guest a sheet of scrapbook paper and some supplies, and ask them each to create a bunny themed page for the mom-to-be to add photographs to later.

Baby shower food:

  • Set up a “bunny buffet” using garden vegetables, bunny shaped serving dishes, and deserts that can be created in a bunny shaped mold or baking pan.
  • Create the buffet as you normally would, and add bunny themed decorations throughout the table and as decorations on the food.

When working on this baby shower theme, don’t forget to take into consideration the baby shower gift and baby shower card you are going to present to the mom-to-be. Follow the bunny baby shower theme with the card’s design, and the wrapping on the gift. You could also give a bunny themed baby shower gift if the mom-to-be hasn’t expressed specific needs.
