Badlands National Park The first leg of my spring trip took me through Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Since I needed to hurry on to Cicero Illinois to visit my parents I only stayed one night in the park but I did manage to obtain some good photos. The image above was made after snow from a spring storm had melted and left some seasonal pools to catch reflections in. Sen. Byron Dorgan believes that adding scenic North Dakota Badlands to the National Register of Historic Places will restrict land use and has told the U.S. Forest Service that he will attempt to block the nomination.
