The Ball State Cardinal Football team improved to 9 - 0 with a dominating performance over The Northern Illinois Huskies. The Huskies came into the game leading the MAC in several categories but couldn't keep up with the Cardinals.The game was attended by several NFL scouts as well as a representative of the Orange Bowl in Miami. Dante Love spoke in public for the first time since his career ending injury against IU in September. A press conference was conducted at the BSU Alumni Center at 2:30 this afternoon where Dante thanked the Medical Staff and his supporters. He mentioned that he had had re-occurring dreams about being hospitalized prior to his ordeal so that it was "deja-vu" when it finally did materialize. Ball State started out sluggish but finally gained control in the 2nd half and almost succeeded in another shutout over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Hilltoppers have had a tough schedule this year being new to Division 1-A College Football and their 2-5 record certainly does not reflect the true strength of their football team.
