Noted film director Alamgir Kumkum passed away on February 27. He was the founder president of Bangladesh Chalachchitra Parichalok Samity. Alamgir Kumkum was also founder president of Bangladesh Film Club and president of Bangabandhu Shangskritik Jote. He stepped into filmdom with director ER Khan in 1968.
