WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- A District of Columbia woman who kept the decomposing bodies of her four daughters in her home has been sentenced to 120 years in prison, officials said. Banita Jacks, 34, was sentenced Friday to four consecutive 30-year prison terms for murdering her daughters, ages 5 to 16, The Washington Post reported Saturday. Jacks, a recluse, had kept the bodies for at least seven months in her filthy home in southeast Washington. LaShawn Ragland, a friend of Banita Jacks' boyfriend, testified in Jacks' murder trial on Monday. Ragland told prosecutors that she once observed Jacks and boyfriend Nathaniel Fogle Jr. laughing as the two youngest girls, N'Kiah and Aja, smoked marijuana. In court today, a DC medical examiner said some of the bodies were so decomposed, it was difficult to tell if they were murdered.
