Let’s start at the beginning, when Banksy was hardly out of primary school, a guy called Blek Le Rat was already busy creating stencil art , so please, if you do have a copy of Banksy’s book "Wall and Piece" and you’ve read his explanation of how he first thought of using stencils, then find the page, and take out a thick black marker, and scrawl out the story.
Sure Banksy was chased by the police , and I’m sure he was inspired to use stencils to speed up his graffiti artistry if only to... Read Full Story

In New Orleans, Fred Radtke has been at war with Graffiti Artists for over Ten Years. Thanks to his “Operation Clean Sweep”, a non-profitable organisation, thousands of tags and images have been destroyed, blocked out by gray acrylic primer. Rather than paint the walls, Mr Radtke and his team simply blot out the offending tags or murals, leaving gray blobs, earning himself the title of “The Gray Ghost”. New Orleans was the site for a wealth of new works of Banksy Art this Summer, but sadly... Read Full Story
Original works by Banksy will be on show at the Andipa Gallery in Knightsbridge, London, from April 23 to May 16. Although not all of the pieces at the Andipa are new, there is a wide range of work on show. The largest canvas - Are You Using That Chair - is over 4 meters in length. It's based on Edward Hopper's 1942 work Nighthawks. Unlike some earlier Banksy exhibitions, work at Andipa is for sale. Banksy productions can be pricey. At the Bonhams auction in 2008, his Kate Moss portrait went... Read Full Story
